Chris, your comments in the video here sum it up beautifully. I really like the jungle illustration because it describes how we are often taught to think. In general, we are taught that you have to go to school, then you have to go to college. Why? I don't know, just because that's what people do......

But, too many people don't realize that it doesn't have to be this way. It's ok to think differently and how I wish this mindset was instilled in me when I was younger. Now, in my mid 30's here I am just realizing the "jungle" mindset and wanting so desperately to break away from my day job to pursue a full time ghostwriting/copywriting career. Because of the way my mind was trained, however, I have this fear of cutting through the jungle....fear of the "what ifs" out there.

Thanks for the great thoughts here on your site!!

"humans who have been trained for a life of paid slavery"... had to get a laugh out of that.

Very true... you have to go for it... what else is there to say really?

Very true info, Chris. Personally, I find the combination of not being able to see through the jungle along with the "taking action" to begin cutting through the jungle is a huge demotivator.

I think as humans, or maybe humans who have been trained for a life of paid slavery, we often think too much of the bad things that might happen rather than the good things that might happen. I know I'm certainly guilty of this as it's in my nature to think "worst case" so I can know if I'll be OK or not, but this also leads to inaction and paralysis. Both are things I need to work on.

Anyway, thanks for the great inspirational video.
